As I'm suffering from burnout, I had to take a look at this book and I definitely found insightful the first part, which is focused on recovering from burnout or avoiding it from the get-go. The information provided is succinct and very to the point. It also comes with some pretty neat exercises. I will definitely be following up on some of the references and I certainly feel there's a lot to the advice provided.
The rest of the book is focused specifically on leadership in business and what strategies to use to avoid burnout, especially for people recently promoted to a leadership position. This wasn't really applicable to me, but seemed pretty useful information for those in that situation.
So, if you're suffering from burnout, or have recently started a job and want to know how you can avoid it, I definitely recommend the first part of this book. If you've recently been promoted and the new position comes with a leadership role you have no idea how to tackle, this book will very definitely have the information you need to be able to shift into the new role as well as balance your work so you don't face burnout further along in your career.
