Celt by Anja Barrons

Updated: Apr 26

This second instalment of The Ridge MC series is just as intense as the first. Celt has been through so much, and getting to see him heal was wonderful. I liked how the author portrayed Celt and Roni, and their interactions. They felt like a solid, wholesome couple right from the start, and I really liked how they offered each other the emotional support each of them needed.

The broader story that connects the novels in this series is gearing up to be incredibly violent and intense. At first I thought this story would be very contained within the community of "The Ridge", but the author has done an amazing job to intermesh the invented location with real world places and fill it with not only biker gangs, and all their "stuff", but even with hints of trafficking and links to the Mafia. It's great worldbuilding and these stories honestly look at the darker side of life and find beauty in it despite everything.
