The Testaments by Margaret Atwood

I absolutely adore Atwood for writing this incredible sequel to The Handmaid's Tale, which I love. The Testaments is a masterpiece in memory. We are what we remember. We are shaped by our history, and although we don't have to allow history to define us, it does inform who we are. The depth given to Aunt Lydia was poignant and the ending was perfect. I also thoroughly enjoyed the throwback to the symposium from The Handmaid's Tale. As a social scientist myself, the extra layer to this "corpus" is just genius.
