The Book Dragon

Their Queenpin by Anja Barrons

I'm utterly in love with this series. Every single book, every exploration of wholesome but different relationships, is an adventure to remember. I absolutely love the characters. In the duet about Adelina, Their Princess and Their Queenpin, I couldn't get enough of all four characters.

Adelina goes from a bratty Mafia princess to someone I really appreciated by the end of this second book. Rafe, with all his difficulties, past hangups, and the war PTS has so much to overcome, and Adelina's love, despite their taboo relationship, truly hit the spot. These two are amazing together, but there's so much more because Graff and Rafe really mesh in this volume, and Graff also goes through a massive transformation. He's not just the sensitive artist in the mix anymore, and it adds so much!

Although we got to see less of Sas in this volume, his character arc is so powerful and poignant. I absolutely LOVE where Barrons took things with his character, and all of a sudden I don't think Sas is an ass at all anymore. He's a completely different person only because I understand him better. yes, he's very much a Beauty-and-the-Beast-style monster, but he's also so much more. Loved every moment of this book and cannot wait to find out what happens next!

Poor Bou! And Wilde. I'm going to probably re-read the whole series while I wait for the author to get this next instalment out, because I love all the characters so, so much. I want to share their traumas and triumphs all over again.
