Life & Death: The Goddess of Light by Sky Sommers

Wow! Sky Sommers always gives you food for thought with her relationships, but this one really takes the cake. When Ash: Crooked Fates ended, I really thought we were done with Ellie and Victor. How wrong could I be?! This book really takes the idea of Happily Ever After and shows us, that it's not over when the HEA happens. Happily ever afters take work. A LOT of work. This book is incredible in the way it portrays how that work happens. The misunderstandings, the assumptions, the whole tangled messup of jumping to conclusions and acting on those when talking could fix everything.

I loved every moment of this book, getting to see a deeper side to both Ellie and Vic, and some of the goddesses who have featured in previous books by this author. The more I read, the more charmed I am by the quirky dialogue and Sky's crazy brain. Highly recommend, especially if you want a different sort of romance read.

Although this is the second book in the Goddesses series, it can be read as a standalone. This book also re-introduces characters from Ash: Crooked Fates. As mentioned, it can be read as a standalone, but the true genius of this book comes through when you read all three of them.
